On April 6 (in Canada) and April 13 (in the US), 34 university campuses across North America spoke with one loud voice, promoting the Teach Kids Peace initiative to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians by ending the culture of hate.
Student activists gathered thousands of signatures for the Teach Kids Peace petitition, distributed materials and fact sheets, engaged other student groups on campus, and wrote articles in their student newspapers supporting an end to incitement of Palestinian youth. Some examples:
At the University of Hartford, tables were set up on the concourse and over 300 students signed the Teach Kids Peace petition. The Hartford Advocate covered the event and interviewed organizers.
At the University of Pennsylvania, a prominent display featured a continual showing of the documentary, "Jihad for Kids," and a giant petition that over 150 students signed.
Op-eds were printed in student newspapers at Drexel University, American University and many others.
